In today's society fashion is a huge deal & way of life to many people. Especially when it comes down to shoes.
A "sneakerhead" is a person who owns multiple pairs of sneakers as a form of collection and fashion. Basketball and skateboarding are the most know sports related to sneakerheads. Being a sneakerhead is a hobby to many people. As a result of a growing sneakhead population, things such as shoe prices to crime are ridiculous. Nowadays people are often robbed and killed over sneakers. The price of shoes have increased over the decades. Michael Jordan's Air Jordan Retros to many Nike basketball shoes are at the top of outrageous prices. Shoes from both Nike and Jordan can range anywhere from a hundred to thousands of dollars. When Jordan sneaks first appeared on the market, the retailed for about $150. Now, you would pay hundreds of dollars for a pair of shoes because of the growing sneakerhead population.
Knowing that the prices of shoes are steady increasing, we still chose to buy them. Why? Basketball is a big part of majority of collectors lives. So it could be hard not wanting a pair of shoes that have previously released when you were a kid. Its just an affect the fashion world has on us.
But you'll find it interesting how it costs about 88 cents to about $3 plus shipping and taxes equals $4-6 to MAKE a pair of shoes retailed at hundreds of dollars. I feel that it is a problem with Americans we're naive and spoiled which makes us blind to so many things in today's world. People would rather have the latest pair of shoes than to take care of their priorities.

Why Not Legalize It?!
Marijuana, many say how much of a bad thing it is while others feel its such a wonderful contribution to life. Why is it that marijuana is such a negative thing to today's society? Is it that the government cant gain control over it? Is it really that bad of a drug? Or is it the dealing? When you think about it, what is the real reasoning for why people see it as such a bad thing?
There is not 1 file on record where someone has died due to the use of smoking weed. To overdose fatally on marijuana you would have to smoke 40 000 times the amount required to get high. Say it takes about 2 "joints" to get high, that means you would have to smoke about 80,000 to overdose. Yes, you can pass out from being a little too high. But i'm pretty sure that you wont die. I feel that the government cant gain full control of marijuana so it'll be a while to even be fully considered legal.
People feel that weed can negatively affect you in many ways. In some ways it can, but many smart and successful people have/does smoke weed. For example, President Obama even smoked "Mary Jane." Rihanna & Lady Gaga also, they are some of the biggest pop stars/singers in the world and they smoke plenty of weed. If you know your history, back in the times of when George Washington was president, weed was kind of a big thing in society. There are so many successful people who smokes "ganja."
"The government has tried to use criminal penalties to prevent marijuana use for over 75 years and yet: marijuana is now used by over 25 million people annually, cannabis is currently the largest cash crop in the United States" So why not legalize it? It could create many jobs and help pay America's debt. Crime rates would be lowered and have less crowded jails which is a huge problem in America.
So why not just legalize it?

College...
The best experience of my life so far. Never would I trade this in for the world! Currently, i'm not at the best school but [shrugs]. I've met some of the coolest people, fake people and learned how scandalous people can be. Besides all of that, I LOVE COLLEGE!
Yet, as I sit back and think about it, is the cost, stress, time consuming and worry's worth it? School is very expensive. And when you come from a family where its difficult to afford it, it makes you think twice. You try to make something out of yourself instead of just sitting around at home doing nothing looks good on you. But, at the same time you realize that your just furthering your education to get a slightly better income for a job you may already know how to do. Many people graduate college with degrees and are unable to find jobs. There are many people that makes good money and live comfortably that didn't go to college. Many high school graduates are influenced by a lot of people who says you need to get away and go to school. Cool, but how many of those people are helping to pay your tuition & costs for college? It's not easy to get scholarships to help you out enough so a lot of students are forced to get loans which puts you in debt when you're finish with school. When you graduate you think "hell yea, finally!" but then you realize "shit, i'm in debt so now I have FIND a job that pays well to pay back all this loan money!" So, is college really worth it? Most people graduate with a minimum of a Bachelors and cant find a job within their degree and major/minor. That's honestly why I feel that college students change their major so many times because you think "which career can I pursue that pays well and I can enjoy what I do?"
